Makers' Market is a place for you to sell your original handmade artwork at the 2026 WAEA Fall Conference, STEAM; Where Creativity Meets Curiosity. Your responsibilities include setting up your table with your art (provide your own tablecloth if desired), selling, completing transactions and collecting state taxes. Fill out this form to be a Makers' Market vendor on Friday, October 30th 5-6:30 pm at Waunakee Intermediate School in the Cafeteria space.
You are also invited to, but not required to, set up a pop-up shop in the Cafeteria on Saturday during all or part of the lunch block. Table space is first come first served.
Deadline to sign up is Monday, October 5, 2026. Once registration is closed, you will receive event details including time and location for set up.

Dr. Tracey Hunter-Doniger

Dr. Tracey Hunter-Doniger is a professor and the Department Chair of Teacher Education at The College of Charleston. She began her career in education as a visual arts teacher in elementary and secondary levels for 15 years in the public schools in Indiana. In 2012 she earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. An award-winning educator and researcher, Dr. Hunter-Doniger was named the South Carolina Higher Education Art Educator of the Year in both 2019 and 2025 and has twice received the National Art Education Foundation Research Grant. Her research explores STEAM education, Forest Schools, creativity, and child-centered learning. During a sabbatical, she studied STEAM practices in Forest Schools throughout Germany and the Netherlands, examining how nature-based learning fosters creativity, inquiry, and interdisciplinary thinking. Dr. Hunter-Doniger has authored or co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and professional publications, with work appearing in Studies in Art Education, Art Education, Art Education Policy Review, International Journal of Education Through the Arts, The Clearing House, School Arts, and Young Children. She has co-guest-edited an edition of School Arts magazine. She has written two books, Experiencing the Arts and STEAM Education: An Interdisciplinary Look at Art in the Curriculum.
