![]() My name is Natasha Monahan and I've been teaching Elementary and Middle School art with the Tomorrow River School District for five years now. I grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and graduated from SPASH in 2008. While still in high school I also attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and UW-Stevens Point. I then attended the Peck School of the Arts at UW-Milwaukee where I received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Art Education with a minor in Art History and Art Critisim. My husband and I currently reside in Stevens Point with our little girl, Iris Marie. In our free time we like to enjoy nature, spend time with family, and create music and art. Art making has always been a passion of mine thanks mostly to my father. In childhood, he would spend hours teaching me to draw or sculpt anything I requested and, as is my nature still, I'd spend hour perfecting it. It was this drive to capture what I saw and express what I imagined that inspired me to teach. I am passionate about giving my students the skills and tools to create what's in their mind. And I'm grateful everyday for the community I work in the supports child art making and takes childhood exploration and creativity so seriously. I'm blessed beyond measure to work with staff and administrators that are truly family and are dedicated to building one another up to be the best educators we can be for our students."
