Hello, my name is Jennifer Schutz although everyone that I work with and teach knows me as (Ms.) Paris. I worked in Kewaunee, Monticello, and YMCA Camp Kaitoke in New Zealand before finding a position at my forever school in Middleton, where I teach at both Glacier Creek Middle School and Middleton High School. I am a TAB teacher, a philosophy that I discovered by accident during a job interview 3 years ago. Although I did not get that particular job I got something much better, a way of life in the classroom...of course, in true fashion for me, I just decided to give it a try and never looked back.
As an artist my true passion lies in fiber, particularly spinning and weaving anything that is remotely wooly. It's the main reason I chose New Zealand as a place that I wanted to spend an extended amount of time in...their sheep. I love making large extroverted pieces that are meant to be explored, touched, and sometimes even walked on (in your bare feet of course!) Not enough art is like that if you ask me.
