![]() Charlotte wants to live in a world filled with creative and appreciative people, chocolate and gel pens in every desk drawer, and a force field around her that repels clay, paint, and oil pastels from her clothes. As a Portage Community School District employee for seven years, she’s worn many hats including special education para, secretary, substitute teacher, and muralist. She has finally found her home at Bartles Middle School as the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade art teacher. Every day is a new adventure for her in the company of middle schoolers as she teaches students to be creative, courageous, and how to handle drama. When she is not working on lesson plans or wedging clay, you can find her baking bread, pulling weeds, and reminding her daughters to do their chores for the seventy-fifth billion time.
