Please join us in conversation Monday, November 23 7:00 - 8:00 pm CST on Twitter using #WiArtChat to talk about QUESTIONS YOUR STUDENTS MAY HAVE FOR THE ART TEACHER. PLEASE share this QUICK 2 Question Survey with your young artists so they can ALSO be part of the conversation (and invite them to be part of the 7 pm conversation too) https://goo.gl/UvXgQM
I have been teaching at Osseo-Fairchild for over 6 years and have been an art teacher for over 14 years. I am married and have 3 kids, Isaiah, Paxton and Josephine. I graduated from UW Stout in 2001 with a BS in Art Education and a Minor in Coaching Volleyball. I later received my Master’s Degree in Art Education from the University of Nebraska Kearney in the summer of 2014. I am also in charge of state judging for Visual Arts Classic, which is a high school art competition that I have been a part of for years as a coach but more involved in helping plan it for 4 years. Teaching art for me is not a job, it is a part of my life. I love my students and I am always pushing them to do their best as I push myself to make the art department better and better every year. Please look on my website http://esuactsol.wix.com/of-mshs-art-depart to see photos of their work and worksheets, lesson plans and extra credit videos that students have access to as they look for more inspiration or help. Lastly, I was also very excited this year to be awarded financial help ($800) through Donor’s Chose (website) to purchase 12 drawing tablets for students to use in our new class Computer Animation and Design. A big thankyou goes out to my family and parents for all of your support! |
