Here is more about Sarah. My name is Sarah Fredrikson. I am in the middle of my third year teaching art in the Denmark School District. I currently teach high school. I previously taught art in Sturgeon Bay at the middle school, high school and the early childhood center. I have a passion for sharing my love of art with my students and have been implementing TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) in my classroom this year. Last summer, I attended the NAEA School for Art Leaders in Bentonville, Arkansas. It gave me the opportunity to meet many other passionate art educators. Outside of the classroom, I am busy with my family. I have 3-year-old triplets and an 1-year-old. I also support my husband while he coaches the varsity girls basketball team in Denmark. When I do find a few minutes to create, I work with photography and drawing. I am also starting a visual journal based off of the Journal Fodder Junkies books. I also started mindfulness training this summer and want to expand my mindfulness time through drawing exercises from the book Mindfulness & the Art of Drawing. |
